Around the middle of the 18th century, Madrid experienced a change of taste in domestic interiors. This change was clearly reflected on the pages of the Diario de Madrid. Advertisements in this newspaper were also used to buy or sell paintings and other works of art. By drawing from this source, the author seeks to reconstruct the context of these commercial activities, especially those that concerned paintings.
