There are contrasting descriptions and viewpoint,;, of the maranchunero personality, more from a literary aspect rather than from a real one, in accordance with out-of-date ideas impregnated with a certain romanticism which eventuaHy compares them ethnically with the gipsies. The descriptions of theír attire are particularly noteworthy.
