Abstract

The theatre, born from the naturalist and magical ancient religions, has melted them in everyday life, but still keeping, despite everything, the great themes of the human life, which the religions offered only on a mimetic way. This paper studies the various «pre-theatres» arisen in those atmospheres and their transformation in theatre when they were imbued with the Greek theatrical ideas once and again. lt also studies the conflict between the theatre and the Christianism as well as their mutual relationship and the development of the theatre within the modern life.
