Mujeres en Yucatán: Nuevas figuras obreras a partir del modelo maquilador extranjero

The author describes the export maquiladora industry in Yucatán, México, and calis attention to the emergence of a new type of women workers whose job records have tumed them into new social actors in this socioeconomic process. The subject discussed falls within the study of globalization and the heterogeneity it causes in specific social areas.
