This paper is about ethnografic cinema, that is the audio-visual production of images which the ethnographer creates as a part of the anthropological research, later to be constructed and edited to represent and communicate her/his results to an specialised audience and to the general public. From this standpoint an analysis is made of the various tendencies of film production with regard to the methodological principies of the field work.
