Sponsored by the Department of Culture of Catalonia's Autonomous Government, Revista d'Etnologia de Catalunya appeared in 1992 as a forum for the reflection on and difusión of ethnological research carried out in Catalunya in connection with issues and concerns in the contemporary world. The journal favors interdisciplinary approaches and the permanent dialogue between tradition and modernity.
