In an overview of Catalan anthropology in the early 20th century, the author emphasizes the theoretical and conceptual landmarks offered by Psicología étnica and the work of Tomás Carreras Artau. This scholarly contribution, which achieved International recognition, matched contemporary developments of European science, especially in Germany and Britain.
