Denominaciones populares de las especies frutales en Alfaro (La Rioja)

Abstract

The present work aims to provide a classification of the local terminology given to the fruit and trees grown in Alfaro, La Rioja. The project was carried on in two phases. In the first, we gathered a current vocabulary in the field. The second phase consisted of organizing this vocabulary into two sections, which make up the basis of the article. The first chapter is basically descriptive and contains information that we collected and then arranged in alphabetical order. The second part, which deals with the lexicographical aspects, contains a vocabulary for all the terms listed in the previous chapter. These terms have also been provided with references taken from other dictionaries on lexicography or from works dealing with dialects. These data give us some idea of the terms which are used in this district and its surroundings.
